Interiors Roundup – Pantone Colours of 2016

Hello everyone – hooray for another Interiors Roundup!

If you follow Rachael on Instagram or Twitter, or have ever taken any of the Make it in Design courses, you’ll know that she is a HUGE lover of colour & thus a big fan of Pantone, a world-renowned authority on all things colour! Each year, Pantone release a ‘Colour of the Year’ which trends across hundreds of design, marketing, retail & tech industries.

This year, Pantone released a pair of two Colour’s of the Year, Rose Quartz & Serenity. In describing their choices, Pantone gave a lovely little summary of why they chose them:

As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.
