Fashion Week – 2016 Spring & Summer Trends!

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another fun & colourful Rachael Taylor blog post! Since the weather is getting warmer & we are finally shedding our woolly & waterproof layers, we wanted to get back to a topic we love in the #rachaeltaylorstudio: fashion!

Below we have collated some fab examples of the latest trending patterns, prints & textures in the fashion industry, many of which made their debut across the Spring & Summer fashion weeks in Milan, Paris & New York City earlier this year. We’re so happy to see even brighter colours, crazier patterns & more adventurous combinations than ever before, making for a refreshing change from the monochromatic, minimalist trends in Autumn & Winter 2015.

This year is all about making a statement with not just one stylistic element, but a simultaneous combination of colour, print & texture. Based on the collections we’ve seen in 2016,  busy prints, layering, frills & crochet accents are the way to go for a high-fashion ensemble! Collars are also sticking around for another year, as well as accented shoulders, long sleeves & short skirts!

Having said all that, some bold & beautiful collections have us thinking it might be best to just throw your fashion rulebook out the window & just get creative with your clothing! Your clothes are an expression of who you are & though you can always find inspo from the fashionistas around you, we think it’s best just to be yourself!
