Tuesday Inspo – Ministry of Craft! Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Rachael Taylor blog post! We hope you have all had a lovely start to the week & are as excited as we are about Autumn arriving soon! This time of year is always filled with warm colours & that means lots of creative inspo! Since Rachael’s studio is based in Liverpool & the RT Team are big lovers of the North West, we wanted to share some creative ideas, inspiration & opportunities in the area. While there are tons of fabulous workshops all over this part of the country, one we love is ran by the fabulous Ministry of Craft based in Manchester! MOC, established in 2008 by Alison Leese is made up of a lovely team of super creative & talented crafters. They run regular DIY workshops with a big focus on sewing, including a Learn To Sew In A Day course with rave reviews! MOC has even been featured on national TV & have worked with wonderful brands such as Laura Ashley, The Women’s Institute & BBC Radio Manchester! MOC offers people with no experience the opportunity to learn a super fun, practical & creative new skill. Once you get the basics, there are tons of other shorter workshops teaching students to make A-Line dresses, frocks, jumpers, make-up bags & more! Taking place in a wonderful art shop called Fred Aldous, the workshops are in a fun, artsy atmosphere where all your top-brand, high-quality materials are provided. In the end, students get to take away their own amazing hand-made items that demonstrate their new skills! If you’re looking for a new creative venture & think you might enjoy one of the Ministry of Craft workshops, be sure to check out their website & register on a course! Below are some of our favourite examples of what you can make in these fab lessons – we hope these photos provide you with a little inspo as well! Stay creative everyone!
