Welcome back to the Rachael Taylor blog! Today we’re taking a peek into the world of pouffes, so sit back, put your feet up & enjoy!

Pouffes, footstools & ottomans have long been a part of home decor, with styles coming & going throughout the years. At the moment, pouffes are especially popular & we’re spotting them more & more in home magazines, on interior design programs & on Insta, too!

Pouffes provide both functionality & style – in addition to being a fantastic place to pop your feet after a hard day, depending on the size & firmness, they can also double as a stool or even a side table if you’re low on space. They also function as well outdoors as they do indoors – if you have an outdoor space with decking / grass, a few pouffes, throws & fairy lights can make for a lovely little space to enjoy some fresh air.

If you love a little DIY & crafting, pouffe’s are also a fun little project to take on. Many pouffes are covered in woven / knitted fabrics with sequins, tassels & lots of other fun embellishments – if you love to knit, sew, upholster or embroider, why not set yourself the challenge of a pouffe design?
