#patternbombing – Global Design Brief!

Last week Make it in Design released a little teaser of a global design challenge called ‘Pattern Bombing’ & we have finally launched this exciting global design brief!

Let’s Pattern Bomb the World!

We want to take the world by storm with our global pattern bombing challenge & we want YOU & all of your friends & family to get involved!

Let’s add some fun, colour, energy & above all some amazing PATTERN to the world around us!

We want you to ‘pattern bomb’ your street, town, city or favourite holiday destination by adding your designs to a landmark, building, statue, road, bridge, vehicle, hill or any structure that catches your eye & is crying out for some pattern love!

Share your designs with Make it in Design on Twitter / Facebook / Instagram before 8pm (GMT) August 28, 2015 using TWO hashtags #makeitindesign & #patternbombing to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes (you can find out more of what we are giving away here) – don’t forget to give a location hint too if it’s not obvious!

IMPORTANT: We want you to do this visually through digital mock-up form only & we have created a helpful technical guide to help you achieve this using Photoshop. Please also only use your own photography and patterns unless you have permission from the copyright owner.

You can download the brief & technical guide over on the Make it in Design website. Take inspiration from your chosen location & its cultural influences. Think about designing a pattern that reflects where you’re from or what’s important to the location you’re #patternbombing & let’s bring design to the world one awesome pattern at a time!
