Studio News – Joining The ACID Advisory Council

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Rachael is delighted to join the ACID Advisory Council.

Anti-Copying in Design (ACID) is a UK-based organisation which offers practical advice & specialist support to help you understand & manage your intellectual property. ACID also offers a comprehensive range of ACID membership benefits to assist you in protecting & commercialising your designs & products.

ACID is the only cross industry trade association for designers specifically dealing with intellectual property. Created by designers for designers, ACID understands your needs & helps make your designs work for you.

“ACID has reached a critical time in its growth & in 2016 our primary objective was to create an ACID Advisory Council, composed of ACID members, advocates, legal affiliates & ACID representatives. We sought applications from within membership to be part of this next exciting phase and invited members, who had shown particular interest in ACID’s aims & objectives, to become part of an Advisory Council.

The new Council will provide strategic guidance in line with ACID’s mission, vision & objectives to ensure ACID’s position, as one of the leading voices for design & intellectual property in the UK, continues to grow & gain traction within IP policy making. We are determined that the credentials of ACID are maintained whilst seeking ways in which ACID broadens its remit to protect intellectual property more effectively & achieve growth for its members & the broader design community”.

ACID’s CEO Dids Macdonald, said: “Having talented designer Rachael Taylor on board our ACID Advisory Council is a total plus! She speaks the same language as many thousands of micro & small design-led businesses who are committed to producing & protecting original design. Rachael will be a champion in our mission for ACID to shout more loudly about the need for respect & ethics where intellectual property is concerned!”
