Studio News – Roland DG Designer Day

Recently myself & Kelly attended the Roland DG Designer Day which was organised by the fantastic & lovely Lisa – the Sales & Marketing Manager from Make it in Design. It was a completely amazing, fun & pattern filled day that was an absolute dream come true as I walked into a room full of machines that were printing my designs!

I was truly blown away by how much the Roland printers could do with my designs from bathroom tiles to floor vinyls & it was a very surreal, unbelievable but exciting experience to actually get to wrap a Smart car with my ‘Shapes & Squares’ pattern!

We got to chat with students from the Make it in Design School & learn all about commercial printing & what the possibilities are (endless apparently!)

With the help of Beth Kempton of Do What You Love (Co-founder of Make it in Design) & the lovely videographers, I challenged myself, stepped in front of the camera & filmed some promotional videos for my online courses. It was stressful & nerve-wracking but exciting & such a rush to get to talk about the courses that I’ve put my heart & soul into for the last few years!

A BIG THANK YOU to Joe, the Roland DG Creative Centre Manager, who was so helpful & patient with all of the questions he received while taking us on a tour.

Thank you to the lovely Emma & Craig from Broken Physics Productions, who filmed the whole day as well as the promotional videos.

Thank you to James Deacon from Artsigns who made a dream come true that I didn’t know I had & showed us how to wrap a car!
