Navigating creativity during tough times Just a letter from me to you today. When it gets tough, please don’t forget to recognise your worth. Certain things don’t define us & keep doing you (I’m telling myself that too). Even amongst all of my new book excitement I recently lost so much confidence (personally & professionally) but I know it’s just a phase. I usually thrive on the unknown, but it’s been a bit of an uncomfy thing lately to embrace so much change. The overthinker in me has questioned everything. I know it will pass & that I’m working on it all. Sometimes the universe does her thing though just when you need it! Here’s a few things to do when the storms hit: 1. Check in with family or friends. Here’s you reminder to have that good long conversation you’ve been putting off for a while. 2. Get out. A change of environment can work wonders, especially in nature for some fresh inspiration. 3. Channel your emotions into something creative. Make artwork based on your mood. In turn the creative task can become your medicine. 4. Listen to music for your mood. My friend & business partner Beth Kempton recently co-wrote this gorgeous song called The River that just takes me places! 5. Dive into a good book. I know I wrote it, but even I need like to remind myself of all the tips & encouragement in Power Up Your Creativity. I know it will help you just as much as it has helped me.
