Interiors Roundup – The Jungle Leaf Motif! Hello Everybody! Welcome back to another Interiors Roundup post on the Rachael Taylor blog! 2016 has definitely been an adventurous & colourful year in the world of design trends, especially when it comes to fun & quirky motifs. Over the last year we’ve seen a huge rise in cute cactuses, pretty pineapples & funky flamingoes & now, the giant jungle / palm leaf! You may have seen the jungle leaf look around this year already – from wallpaper to stationery, art prints & home textiles, it’s hard to miss this bright & beautiful motif. We love how these botanical shapes are so simple, but with just a little layering & a good colour palette, they can produce a wonderfully textured & gorgeous print. The ‘jungle leaf’ look also encompasses a wide range of leaf types, so there’s lots of room for creativity too! In addition to surface pattern, stationery & print, big, leafy plants have also made a huge impact on household plant trends! More & more we’re seeing large, exotic plants pop up in interior magazines, on Pinterest & all over Instagram too. Like the copper & marble craze, the jungle leaf aesthetic has been borrowed from an earlier decor era & reinvented in 2016. In fact, it’s likely you’ll see some minimalist marble paired with some copper accessories / homewares & a big jungle palm tree in someones home! Below are some fab examples of the jungle / palm leaf trend that we’ve found online. We love how much life these gorgeous plants can bring to your home & how they’ve been such a creativity booster for designers & art lovers everywhere!
