My Travel Sketchbooks

Hello there lovely readers! I recently updated my portfolio with lots of travel inspired designs, all of which began on my recent work trip adventures. From Havana, Cuba to Cinque Terre, Italy, I’ve really been trying to soak in the culture, architecture, nature, & colour inspiration & translate this into my designs.

Though there is a thoughtful & intuitive process that goes into creating my designs, they often start out with a single motif. For this, I found using my Pink Pig sketchbooks and their singular pages as a really helpful way of making a starting point. You can see examples below where I’ve worked up a singular motif from the inspiration around me or something I’ve imagined in my mind. These singular pages are also so useful for when it comes to scanning them into my computer to later manipulate digitally.

On my design travels I wouldn’t be without my Pink Pig sketchbooks & plan to use many more on my future trips back to Havana & then on to Argentina. I’m so honoured to have been named as a Brand Ambassador for Pink Pig International & I genuinely love & support their products, & have for many years! I’ve used their products since I was in my university days, as everyone knows they are super high quality & I just love how there are so many colourful covers available. Something for the colour fanatic within!
