Rachael Taylor wins 71 copyright cases

Life & work continues to teach me how hard it can be at times but it has also taught me how incredibly strong I am & despite all this I’ll never stop looking for the beauty in the everyday moments & I’ll always practice gratitude.

71 cases & I’VE WON! About a year later & it’s finally over. 71 copies of a single design of mine from endless companies. Retailers including: Walmart & Temu amongst others. Those who know me will know I won my huge highly publicised legal battle with M&S years ago too. It’s not about just me, it’s about fighting for injustice & standing up to companies & letting them know they can’t keep doing this to creatives (you can read the original Substack post here).

Those who really know me well will also know that this has felt so insignificant to the tough ordeals myself & my family have endured personally in life for good while. An incredibly rocky year personally that made my business & copyright troubles seem pointless to stress over but equally getting copied, & worse having your artwork stolen for another companies profit so many times, is still shitty!

I’ll be sharing more info soon on how I did it. I’ve been on a pause from socials to put my family first. Then there’s my tiny lovely intimate wedding coming up this August that ha I’ve bought all the decorations for but not my actual wedding dress yet as I’ve just felt too unwell with neglected self care to even try on pretty things.

I’ve literally been broken at times both mentally & physically from the toll of my families suffering in the last year but I’m back & stronger than ever (just need a little rest for a bit).

I can’t stand injustice & bullies whether that be personally or professionally. I’ll always stand up for what’s right!
