The Loneliest Colour of The Year For 2026

Did you know that for the past three years Sherwin Williams have released a ‘loneliest colour of the year’? Turning the usual concept of a ‘colour of the year’ upside down, this chosen colour “is a celebration of individuality, self-expression and unconventional style, brought to life by the striking beauty of Sherwin-Williams least tinted paint color: Offbeat Green SW 6706.”

They’ve even teamed up with the wonderful the LeBron James Family Foundation.

“Through this initiative, individuals and families can access resources, education and support as they navigate the path to homeownership. Within this welcoming environment, color plays a meaningful role in helping people envision what’s possible, transforming spaces into places of comfort and opportunity.”

We think this is such an interesting choice considering shades of green like this have been widely recommended as trending colours for the year. From matcha to wasabi. What are your thoughts on the loneliest colour of the year?
